PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw all your TAP savings when you have been certified physically or mentally incapacitated from engaging in any further employment by the Medical Board and fulfills all eligibility requirements.


ELIGIBILITY

- Member has not reached the age of 55,
- Member is physically or mentally incapacitated from engaging in any further employment,
- Member is found to be of unsound mind or is otherwise incapable of performing his duties at any time before he attains the age of 55 years.

WITHDRAWAL

Members may withdraw up to 100% of his TAP savings.


Documents Required

1. A completed TAP20 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of member’s Smart Card,
3. A copy of Resignation Letter (if available),
4. Medical Board Report,
5. Guardian Appointment of Property ad-litem for members who are mentally incapacitated from (i) Civil Court for non-Muslim members or (ii) Syariah Court for Muslim members,
6. Letter of Undertaking By Guardian of Medically Unfit or Unsound Mind Member of The Fund (if required) and
7. A copy of member’s latest bank book and statement.

​PURPOSE

This withdrawal is to withdraw the entire TAP savings of the deceased member.


ELIGIBILITY

An heir appointed by the Probate Office.


WHO CAN APPLY?

A complainant who informs TAP of the deceased member. The complainant can be any direct family members.


WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT

Beneficiary may withdraw 100% of the deceased’s TAP savings.


Documents Required

Complainant

1. A completed ‘Pre-Determined Administration Appointment’ application form,
2. A copy of deceased death certificate,
3. A copy of complaint‘s Smart Card and
4. A copy of deceased Smart Card.


FOR BENEFICIARY (BENEFICIARY APPOINTED BY THE PROBATE OFFICE AS APPOINTED ADMINISTRATOR):

1. A completed TAP22/SCP22 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of Administration Appointment Letter from the Probate Office,
3. A copy of the Beneficiary’s Smart Card,
4. A copy of member’s Death Certificate,
5. A copy of beneficiary’s bank statement or bank book and
6. A copy of ‘Faraid Certificate from the Syariah Court (if any).

NOTE:

The complainant and the heir appointed may not be of the same person.

The heir will only be entitled to the savings of the deceased after the Administration Appointment Letter is released by the Probate Office.​

Any member who is found to be making false statement shall be guilty of an offence. Such member shall be required to return the full amount of money that has been withdrawn including the dividends, administration costs and any penalty that may be imposed on the individual.

​PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw not exceeding 45% of your TAP savings to build or purchase a house or repayment of home loans to banks or Government Housing.

ELIGIBILITY
TAP member for a minimum period of 10 years with at least 5 years of active contributions OR has a minimum TAP savings of $40,000.00.


WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT 

Total amount of withdrawal is subject to the procedures and requirements of the arrangements set out in the TAP Act, Chapter 167 and TAP Rules.

Calculation Procedure for withdrawal:

1)   Building or Purchase

  1.1) 20% of the purchase price or the cost of building such house (LAND TITLE UNDER APPLICANTS NAME)

OR

1.2) 10% of the purchase price or the cost of building such house that cost $150,000.00 and ABOVE (LAND TITLE NOT UNDER APPLICANTS NAME)

OR

 1.3) 15% of the purchase price or the cost of building such house that cost $149,999.00 and BELOW (LAND TITLE NOT UNDER APPLICANTS NAME)

OR

1.4) 45% from member's TAP savings


2)   Outstanding loan as at the date of application

1.1)  45% from member's TAP savings
THE TOTAL CALCULATION TO BE APPROVED IS WHICHEVER IS THE LESS.

TOTAL AMOUNT OF WITHDRAWAL IS SUBJECT TO THE PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS SET OUT IN THE EMPLOYEE TRUST ACT, CHAPTER 167 ANDTAP RULES.

4. Copy of Power of Attorney (If land title is not under applicant's name)

5. Copy of Deposit receipts or ConfirmationLetter if no payment is made

6. Housing Loan Breakdown

7. Developer's License (16&17) or Vendor's Identity Card

8. Copy of Latest Salary Slip


The copy of applicable supporting document only:

1. Copy of Land Title;

2. Copy of Letter for Process of Ownership (For Land Grant not under Applicant's Name);

1. Permit to Carry Out Building Works ABCi - Form C;

Additional documents required for members who do not have any financial assistance from banks or with the Government are:

2. To fill-in a TAP Confirmation letter that no loan has been made

3. To fill-in a TAP Confirmation letter by builder or seller


Buying a House (Kampong Ayer):

 1.   Copy of Member's Identity card

3.   Copy of Changeof  house ownership confirmation letter

4.   Copy of House Plan layout of the the house from Brunei and Muara District Department

5.   Copy of Seller's Identity Card

6.   Copy of Sales and Purchases Agreement

7.   Copy of Advance payment receipt or Confirmation letter if no payment is made


Balance of Payment (National Housing Scheme):

1.   Copy of Member's Identity card

2.   Copy of Latest Salary Slip

3.   Copy of Confirmation Letter of house ownership

4.   Copy of Repayment of housing loan from Ministry of Development

5.   Copy of Certificate of Balance

​PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw all your TAP savings when leaving Brunei Darussalam and do not intend to return to this country.


ELIGIBILITY

- Member has not reached the age of 55,
- Emigrating to a different country and surrendering Brunei citizenship.

WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT

Members may withdraw up to 100% of his TAP savings.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. A completed TAP26/SCP26 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of member’s Smart Card,
3. A copy of member’s Foreign Smart Card / Foreign Passport,
4. A copy of Declaration of Surrender of Citizenship Status letter and
5. For members or beneficiaries who wishes to have their payment using Telegraphic Transfer to their bank account, the following information/copy of documents must be provided:
    - Letter regarding the intention of the withdrawal paid via direct transfer AND agree that any bank charges are to be paid by the member;  
    - Member’s bank book (if available);
    - Confirmation letter from member’s bank stating that the member has an account with the bank;
    - Home address;
    - Bank Clearing Code/Swift address (member is to enquire with their bank);
    - Member’s full name and Account Number of the bank intended for the direct transfer and
    - Address of bank.

 
NOTE:
Anyone who is found to be making false statement shall be guilty of an offence. Such member shall be required to return the full amount of money that has been withdrawn including the dividends, administration costs and any penalty that may be imposed on the individual.

PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw 25% of your TAP savings upon reaching the age of 50 to help you make preparations prior to your retirement.


ELIGIBILITY

Members who have reached the age of 50 years old.


WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT

Applicants may withdraw not more than 25% of the amount of their savings at the start of the year in which the withdrawal application is approved.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. A completed TAP50 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of member’s Smart Card (Original Smart Card will be required for verification) and
3. A copy of member’s latest bank book and statement.

 

NOTE:

Members with only the year of birth recorded in their Smart Card will be eligible to withdraw on the 31st December of the year they turn 50.

​PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw all your TAP savings when reaching the age of 55 to support you during your retirement.


ELIGIBILITY

Members who have reached the age of 55 years old.


WITHDRAWAL AMOUNT

Members shall withdraw 100% of his TAP savings.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

1. A completed TAP55 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of member’s Smart Card   (Original Smart Card will be required for verification) and
3. A copy of member’s latest bank book and statement.


NOTE:
Members with only the year of birth recorded in their Smart Card will be eligible to withdraw on the 31st December of the year they turn 55.

PURPOSE

This withdrawal is to withdraw the entire SCP savings of the deceased member.


WITHDRAWAL

Beneficiary may withdraw 100% of the deceased’s SCP savings.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Complainant

1. A completed ‘Pre-Determined Administration Appointment’ application form,
2. A copy of deceased death certificate,
3. A copy of complaint‘s Smart Card,
4. A copy of deceased Smart Card.

FOR BENEFICIARY (BENEFICIARY APPOINTED BY THE PROBATE OFFICE AS APPOINTED ADMINISTRATOR):

1.  A completed TAP22/SCP22 withdrawal form,
2. A original and copy of Administration Appointment Letter from the Probate Office,
3. A copy of the Beneficiary’s Smart Card,
4. A copy of member’s Death Certificate,
5. A copy of beneficiary’s bank statement or bank book and
6. A copy of ‘Faraid Certificate from the Syariah Court (if any).

 

FOR SCP SURVIVORSHIP BENEFITS, IT IS ALSO REQUIRED TO PROVIDE:

1. A copy of Marriage or Divorce certificate (if applicable),

2. A copy of Smart Card and Birth Certificate of all children including registered adopted children,

3. A copy of Letter of Oath from the court for child adoption (if any),

4. A copy of Smart Card of mother, father and siblings of unmarried muslim member, and

5. A copy of Faraid Certificate for Muslim members (if  available).


Applicants must provide the following documents according to the following application:

A) Deceased members was the spouse with no children.

1. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

2. Copy of Member's Death Certificate,

3. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

4. Copy of Faraid Certificate for muslims and Copy Letter from Probate Office for non-muslims,

5. Identity Card copy beneficiaries either stated in the Faraid Certificates or Letter from Probate Office.

 

B) Deceased member was the spouse with children aged 21 and above.

1. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

2. Copy of Member's Death Certificate,

3. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

4. Copy of Faraid Certificate for muslims and Copy Letter from Probate Office for non-muslims,

5. Identity Card copy beneficiaries either stated in the Faraid Certificates or Letter from Probate Office.

 

C) Deceased member was single.

1. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

2. Copy of Member's Death Certificate,

3. Copy of Faraid Certificate for muslims and Copy Letter from Probate Office for non-muslims,

4. Identity Card copy beneficiaries either stated in the Faraid Certificates or Letter from Probate Office.

 

D) The deceased has a widow and children (aged under 21 and unmarried).

1. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

2. Copy of Member's Death Certificate,

3. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

4. Identity Card copy of the spouse,

5. Identity Card or birth certificates of the children including registered adopted children,

6. A copy Letter of Oath from the court for registered adopted children.

 

E) The deceased was a single father and has children (aged under 21 and unmarried).

1. Copy of Marriage Certificate,

2. Copy of Member's Death Certificate,

3. Identity Card or birth certificates of the children including registered adopted children,

4. A copy Letter of Oath from the court for registered adopted children,

5. Divorce Certificate (If deceased is a widower),

6. Wife's Death Certificate (if wife has deceased) .

This withdrawal allows you to withdraw all your SCP savings when leaving Brunei Darussalam and do not intend to return to this country.


ELIGIBILITY

Emigrating to a different country and surrendering Brunei citizenship.

 

WITHDRAWAL

Members may withdraw up to 100% of his SCP savings.

PURPOSE

This withdrawal allows you to receive your SCP savings as a monthly payout upon reaching the age of 60 to support you during your retirement.


ELIGIBILITY

Member has reached the age of 60.

 

WITHDRAWAL

Monthly payment (annuity) will be paid out for a period of 20 years.
Amount received in annuity received monthly is the total savings balance of SCP scheme divided by 240 months.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. A completed SCP60 withdrawal form,
2. A copy of member’s Smart Card. (Original Smart Card will be required for verification) and
3. A copy of member’s latest bank book and statement.

 

NOTE:

The threshold amount of SCP Benefit shall be determined and revised periodically by the Board.
If the remaining SCP savings balance is less than the threshold amount, then the savings will be paid out as lump sum.
